Summary:
Perform a wide range of Human Resources and Administrative support duties to facilitate the staffing and management of employees.
The job responsibilities will include:
new employee onboarding, job posting and recruitment life cycle, employee file maintenance, benefits processing, leave management, human resource compliance and other human resource support projects as assigned.

Responsibilities:
Manage the recruitment process including updating job descriptions, posting jobs on websites, making initial contact with candidates, scheduling interviews and communicating with interviewers/managers to schedule interviews and ultimately facilitate filling positions Assist with the communication, compliance and tracking of NY State Office of Children and Family Services paperwork including annual forms and processes such as performance management system, tracking physicals and obtaining signed code of conduct forms Assist with administering, filing and tracking employee leaves of absence.

Workers Compensation, Parental Leave, NY Paid Family leave, FMLA, NY State Disability) Responsible for maintaining, distributing and filing new hire paperwork and the onboarding process in compliance with NY State Manage and maintain Human Resources records by recording new hires, transfers, terminations and changes in job titles Work with IT to assist with onboarding new hires seamlessly i.

email, phone and laptop set-up Assist with the administration of all employee benefits, the open enrollment process and the preparation of annual notifications Administer cobra and facilitate termination process to ensure smooth exit process Work directly with the Director of HR on special projects, including the implementation of new vendors and/or continuing to run established programs (i.
e.
- 403B, payroll system, pension, benefits, AFLAC) Maintain and track employee anti-harassment training; ensure timeliness of employee performance reviews; assist with the implementation of additional training programs as needed Assist with tracking monthly payroll (Queens) Update and maintain employee handbooks and training manuals Ensure compliance with all applicable NY State and Federal employment laws and regulations Maintain human resource database, employee emergency messaging system and tracking systems Respond to requests for employment verification by third parties Reconcile monthly life insurance bills Provide support for all employee questions and HR issues that arise Daily engagement with employees via email, phone and in-person meetings General office administrative assistance including setting up employee files, scanning, filing, photocopying, fax, scanning, shredding, and sending mail out Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Requirements:
Bachelor's degree Maintain a positive attitude and willingness to assist others Proactive, punctual and reliable Proficient in Microsoft Office and general computer usage.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills Must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of personnel and external contacts Must be able to maintain a high degree of confidentiality and professionalism Must be well organized and have the ability to multi-task Ability to work independently and within a team environment Location:
