Job DetailsWe are seeking a dynamic, compassionate, and dedicated Bilingual Nurse Practitioner with a specialty in Psychiatry to join our diverse and vibrant team.
This is a permanent, full-time position that offers the unique opportunity to work with patients from various backgrounds, providing high-quality psychiatric care in both English and another language (Spanish or Chinese).
You will be working alongside a team of experienced professionals in the medical industry, providing essential mental health services to our patients.
Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations to patients, including assessment of mental health status, health behaviors, self-care capabilities, and social supports.
Diagnose and treat psychiatric disorders and mental health issues.
Prescribe and manage medications.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to plan and coordinate patient care.
Provide psychoeducation to patients and their families.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of clinical encounters and treatment plans.
Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with all federal and state health information privacy laws.
Participate in ongoing education, training, and quality improvement initiatives.
Provide services in English and either Spanish or Chinese, depending on the linguistic needs of the patient.
Qualifications:
Current, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in the state of practice.
Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner.
Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner, with a focus on psychiatric care.
Fluency in English and either Spanish or Chinese is required.
Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team, as well as independently.
Knowledge and understanding of cultural and linguistic competency.
Current knowledge of state and federal laws and regulations that apply to practice of psychiatry and mental health nursing.
Ability to use Electronic Health Records and other healthcare software.
Current CPR or BLS certification.
Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
