Nursing Professional Development Specialist

DescriptionThe Nursing Professional Development Specialist (NPDS) serves as a nursing leader, practice mentor, and education resource to a wide range of academically prepared nurses across all practice settings to build a learning organization culture.
NPDS collaborates with Hospital Leaders, Directors and Nurse Managers to advance the knowledge, skills and competencies of frontline staff through orientation and clinically relevant education programs.
The NPDS promotes professional development of clinical staff with ongoing education, research, quality improvement and regulatory readiness to ensure a safe, effective, and efficient patient care environment.
QualificationsBSN.
Master's Degree or currently enrolled.
Focus in Nursing Education (preferred).
Three to five years of clinical experience in a specialty area, or combination of staff nurse/leadership experience in the specialty area.
Excellent skills in the following areas:
verbal and written communication, critical thinking, creativity, interpersonal relationships, team building and change management.
Demonstrates knowledge base in professional nursing and evidence-based practice; participatory leadership, continuous learning environment, current issues and trends in nursing practice, nursing education, Shared Governance, and professional development.
Basic Life Support Instructor required, ACLS and PALS preferred.
Certification in relevant clinical area and/or Nursing Professional Development within 1 year of hire.
Current unrestricted New York State Nursing License.
Participation in pertinent professional organizations, such as National Nursing Staff Development Organization, ANA, and other professional specialty organizations.
Recommended Skills Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (Acls) Basic Life Support Certified Nurse Practitioner Change Management Clinical Works Communication Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
